DrupalCon DC WrapUp

Just a quick wrap up from my time down in DC last week.  It was a great trip, and conference.  Very different then previous conferences I've been too.  Much less hard-core coding, and a great deal more general users.  Some of the highlights are meeting some of the maintainers of the modules I've used the last few months to much delight.  To my surprise they run the range on age and demography.  One fellow was 13 years old and has come to be a pretty popular figure in the Drupal community.  Others are a bit older, and as I found only live a few hours away.  In the end, I had a great time hanging out with some old, and new friends, and feel a great deal more connected to the larger Drupal community in general.  My book wish list is three, or four books deeper coming home as well, which can't be a bad thing!

I also had the chance to take some pictures the last full day I was in town.  It turned out to be 70 degrees, and while a little overcast in the morning, the afternoon and evening gave a wonderful blue backdrop to some great photos.  I walked about 9 miles total that day, and snapped about 300 photos.  Have a look at a few of the ones I enjoyed
